Dear Ms Mannon,

My grandfather, John P., passed away Sunday in your facility. He had been a patient for about four months.

During his stay at Fairmont, I visited him and his wife (also a patient) numerous times during the week and weekend, both during the day and the evening. I was able to observe how the nursing staff cared for him and other patients. I was very impressed with the professionalism and compassion displayed by the staff.

With specific reference to my grandfather, his caregivers were always sensitive to his needs and encouraged him to be as independent as possible. They showed great respect for his privacy. It was difficult to see this once vibrant man in declining health but each time I left the facility I felt that I was leaving him with good people.

This level of performance also included your business and front office staff. They were easy to work with and very helpful.

One final note- the staff’s concern extended to me and my family. On the night before he died, my parents, my sister, my wife and I were gathered around my grandfather who was by that time comatose and non-responsive. At about 8 p.m. one of the staff came in with a plate of cookies and a pot of coffee for the family and she actually apologized that the kitchen was closed and this was all they could do. We were greatly touched by this kind act and it is an example of what we experienced during my grandfather’s four months.

As a person also involved in the delivery of health care services, I know how hard it is to consistently deliver high quality services. Your staff does that.

Yours truly,
Gary J. P.

My mother, Leonora M., was treated at your facility from July 12th to August 31st 2007. When she arrived she was disoriented and could not walk very well. Within a very short time your team of Rehabilitation Specialists had her up walking, exercising, and eating well. My mother has nothing but good things to say about your entire staff. She is now residing at Chancellor Place in Lodi and is getting around very well thanks to the wonderful care she received at your facility.

I want to thank you for taking such good care of my mother during her time of need.

Very Truly Yours,
Larry J. M.
